Hellfire Harlots Support CP Sport at Nottingham Bike Race

As Nottingham’s largest roller derby team, we make a real effort to get involved and help local charities as much as possible as we feel it is important to take an interest in your community and give your time, not just your money to help others.

One of the charities we support is CP Sport, an organisation that aims to increase sport and physical recreational activities for people with a disability, particularly Cerebral Palsy.

CP Sport were looking for volunteers to help them out at the Eon Great Nottinghamshire Bike Race on Sunday 15 July 2012, so we were happy to send a group of Harlots down the Embankment to help out after one of our tough three hour training sessions.

Led by Kay Blammity, Harlots and Hounds picked up the late shift and helped to clear up the venue towards the end of the 50 mile bike race. Many enthusiastic hands make light work and the Harlots and Hounds were praised by organisers for their hard work.

Of course, we finished up in the pub afterwards for a well-earned pint!

We also help promote and support CP Sport by selling Eye Blacks, these are specially branded Hellfire Harlot stickers that you stick under your eyes when playing sports in order to reduce glare from the sun or harsh indoor lights. They come in packs of two and can be purchased for £3 from our merch stores at bouts we attend. All the proceeds go to CP Sport.
